Frant (East Sussex, UK, at night)

[FRA]
Off course we do !

Since I arrived, I thought I was in Kent. But no. Actually, I was in East Sussex, just at the Kentish border, in a village named Frant. Anyway, Kent, Sussex, who cares? I guess the local council does, but not me. To me what really matters is the atmosphere. And let me tell you that - Boy! Frant's atmosphere is so British! I'm sure you've all watched some Hercule Poirot on telly, or you know, this kind of Agatha Christie-ish stories that always happen in typical English countryside places filled with cottages, plastic boots, Land Rovers, Golden Retrievers sitting by the fireplace, smoky tea pots and crackers on the table at 5:00 o'clock and all … I don't know about you, but I always loved that stuff. Well, it's not tea time anymore, so let's go to the pub and enjoy taking some night shots on the way. By Jove!

The London Clichés

[FRA]
Ohmaillegode !

Oh mon dieu! I was in London! Alright, alright, I had already been there once. Circa 1989, on a school trip. I was about 16, so better be honest, back in the days I wasn't there to enjoy all these nice little things that are all the same than in France, but slightly different. So, this time I did. In London, there are cars - just like in France, except there they're Roll Royces. Same for the city buses, except they're not called city buses but double-deckers. And in London, The Beatles stay just in front of The Rooling Stones, who stay just next to The Sex Pistols, who happen to stay just in front of Sherlock Holmes. And in London, policemen are classy - definitely not like French ones, except for the motorcycle force, that is. And in London, people take good care of their Kings, whom they prevent to get cold by giving them scarves and hats - instead of beheading them (and I must say I find this Peace & Love way much better). And in London, buildings and streets are beautiful … Well, in France too, okay, but still different, c'est beau, voilà!
